1.Class I tool safety protection: The tool is equipped with a grounding device, and all or most parts of the insulation structure have basic insulation. If the insulation is damaged, the accessible metal parts can be connected to the protective grounding (see grounding) or protective neutral wire installed in the fixed circuit through a grounding device, which will not become a live body and can prevent the operator from being electrocuted.
2.Class II tool safety protection: The insulation structure of this type of tool is composed of double insulation or reinforced insulation composed of basic insulation and additional insulation. When the basic insulation is damaged, the operator is separated from the charged body by additional insulation to prevent electric shock. Class II tools must use non reconnected power plugs and are not allowed to be grounded.
3.Class III tool safety protection: These tools are powered by a safe voltage power supply. The effective value of no-load voltage between safety voltage guidance bodies or between any conductor and ground shall not exceed 50V; For three-phase power supplies, the effective value of the no-load voltage between the conductor and the neutral line shall not exceed 29V. The safety voltage is usually supplied by a safety isolation transformer or an inverter with independent windings. Protective grounding devices are not allowed to be installed on Class III tools.
4.Suppression of radio interference: Single phase series excited motors and DC motors with commutators can cause serious electrical interference to televisions and radios, so the design of electric screwdrivers should consider the interference of pitch control on the radio. The main measures adopted include shielding, symmetrical connection of excitation windings, installation of electrical filters, and connection of filters in a delta shape. If necessary, small inductance coils can also be connected in series at both ends of the motor armature.
